It all started with a sock
I have been Sewing since my grandmother taught me 20 years ago – starting with her cutting holes into socks to let me darn them with an old-school wooden stock darner. My love (and obsession) for sewing has never stopped since. I was born in Vienna, Austria and I enjoy visiting there during Christmas-time the most. Our Christmas markets are the best!
My Vintage experience
I started my Etsy Shop called LadyInterstellar in 2023, focusing on Vintage and Antique Sewing Patterns. My process involves either finding an old pattern and digitizing it, or making one from scratch. My expertise is in Corsetry, but I also like to create many other types of garments – such as bras, girdles, dressing coats, petticoats, dresses, skirts and so so much more.
My favorite time periods are:
1877 – 1879 (Long train bustle era)
1895 – 1908 (Late Victorian and Edwardian Era)
1948 – 1959 (Dior’s New Look of the 50’s)
and of course, the y2k era that is now popular again as well!

My Rave and Club-wear experience
What could possibly be more of an opposite fashion style than historical clothing is to Rave wear?! But here I am, in love with both. I have been in the Rave scene for quite some time now, and there is nothing better for me than to make an outfit for any event I’m going to. This includes SnapBody© Bodysuits, Crochet Hair Space Buns, and (creepy) Kreeps© purses!
When I say this, I really mean it:
There aren’t many things I haven’t sewn or created digitally before.
This is truly my passion, my whole life.
What do I do in my free time?
Besides more sewing of course, I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love and appreciate everyone in my life so much, I feel incredibly lucky to have them. I also love photography, hiking, camping, and living life to the fullest (: Please enjoy a random collection of photos I’ve taken of/or with friends and family. Portraits are my favorite!
